Château de Pourteils contains amongst others 3 double rooms on the 1st floor, 1 double in the tower and an annex with 1 twin, all with en suite bathroom and toilet. In addition it has a big living room, connected to a study that both have acces to a big terrace, a dining room, a spacious entrance and hall, and a well equipped kitchen.

The castle is situated at 200 m from Brouilla between vineyards facing south overlooking the river Tech valley and the Alberes, the spurs of the Pyrenees. The park of 3 ha is completely enclosed (partly walled) and contains colorfull flowers, tropical trees, shrubs and palms. Next to the castle is a lawn at the end of which is a swimming pool of 13 x 8 m and a pool house with open fireplace, kitchen, shower, toilet and dressing-room.
 

Besides enjoying the heavenly atmosphere of the Chateau itself, you can walk, cycle, horse ride, and fish in the nearby countryside. You could visit one of the many gastronomical restaurants in the area or visit one of the following places of interest:

• The beaches of Argeles (15 km), St Cyprien (20 km) and the picturesque old port of Collioure (20 km)

• The nearby medieval city of Perpignan (15 km) and smaller towns with historical city-centres like Ceret (25 km) and Thuir (25 km)

• The Dali museum in Figueras (45 km) and other Spanish towns like Girona (90 km) and Barcelona (190 km)

• Historical sites such as the fortified medieval hilltop town of Castelnou (25 km), Salses le Chateau (35 km) and Toutafel (40 km) and at 50 to 100 km Prats the Molo, Villefranche de Conflent and other bastions of the Cathares

• Ski-areas at 140 to 200 km like Les Angles, Font Romeu and Pas de la Casa, Andorra

• Hot spring baths like the ones in Boulou (15 km) and the open air baths of St Thomas (120 km)
